Funerals

introduction

Christians believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ gives us hope and cause for hope even in the face of death.  In this faith we entrust those who have died to the infinite mercy and love of God.

A Church of England funeral service acknowledges this hope and offers those bereaved the opportunity to remember their loved one’s life and offer them into God’s care.

First Steps

When someone dies the first step is to contact a funeral director.  They will provide advice and help organise the practial arrangements.  It it will be the funeral directors who will liaise with our Parish, so that our ministesr can help to put your wishes into effect.

Both churchyards are closed to new burials.  Warblington Cemetery, adjacent to Warblington church is our local cemetery.

The Challenge of Bereavement

The death of someone close can affect us emotionally, physically, and socially.  It can be a huge challenge.  This Parish can offer bereavement support through its Clergy, through trained volunteer visitors and through Parish groups.
