Getting married is a meaningful step and making vows in church adds a further degree of spirituality to the ceremony.  Our churches, St James in Emsworth and St Thomas à Becket in Warblington, each have their own unique character and will become a very special element of your wedding, on the day itself and beyond.  For many couples, a wedding is the start of a bond with the church where it took place which endures for many years.

The Church of England has a dedicated website which covers every aspect of a church wedding and it is a great place to start planning your special day.

How do I book a wedding in the parish?

We are delighted that you are considering holding your wedding ceremony at one of our churches and we will do our very best to help make your wedding joyful and memorable.

Please Drop us a line (see below) to make contact with our Parish Adminstrator, Selena, who will be in touch with everything you need to know to arrange your wedding with us.

The minister who will be officiating at your wedding will meet with you to discuss your plans and help you create a memorable and meaningful service. We will also invite you the opportunity to reflect and prepare as a couple for your future together.  Couples find this extremely valuable.

Music & Readings

We can help you plan the musical elements of the service.  A church wedding must include at least one Bible reading.  Additional readings can also be included.
