Come and see what is going on in the Parish

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the website of the Parish of Warblington with Emsworth.

Latest information (3 November 2020)

Following Government guidance, we are not able to hold public services during the latest national lockdown. We hope to be able to do so again on Sunday 6th December. In the mean time we continue to offer services on line each week. You are welcome to join us.

Church services On Line

To join the latest recorded service click here. It is updated early every Sunday. You can also view the content of our Facebook Page, even if you don’t have a Facebook account. You can also listen to these services via a dedicated phoneline by calling 01243 957233.

Each Sunday at 10am, we will also conduct a live service of worship via Zoom. If you would like to join in with this, please contact the Parish Office for a link via email or by telephone on 07579 798010.

St Thomas a Becket is also open for personal prayer on Sundays from 10am-3.30pm and Wednesdays from 10am-3.30pm. During the coronavirus pandemic, we are committed to continuing to pray for our community and our nation.

The Parish consists of two churches – St. James’ Church in the heart of Emsworth and St. Thomas à Becket Church in quiet and beautiful surroundings at the end of Church Lane Warblington (see Our Parish for maps and directions).

More importantly, we are a community of people who, inspired by God, seek to serve our local community and express the love that God has for all people. We aim to be a community that is welcoming, loving and faithful to God, which is all the more important in our current circumstances. Please get in contact via the Parish Office if you or any neighbour that you know needs help.

We have also created a Digital Library that has services from previous weeks, messages from the Diocese of Portsmouth and some other resources that you might find helpful at this time.

Up to date advice from the Church of England is available here.

With prayers

Andrew (Rector)

Upcoming events

It is with great sadness that due to the Covid 19 outbreak, we are no longer able to hold our services and events that were planned for Becket 850.
We hope that when this crisis is over we will be able to either resume our programme or offer some alternative events.
Thomas à Becket Church is on Instagram and we hope to be able to post updates that will honour the spirit of our Becket 850 program.
In the meantime we hold all those in prayer who are working to keep us safe, who are guiding our nation at this time, for those who are fearful or vulnerable and for those who are ill or dying.
