 Latest News!

We are delighted to say that thanks to your generosity we are able to close the books on the Warblington Church Building project having reached our target amount. We hope that work will begin early next year. A huge thank you to everyone who has donated.

Our vision is To see our lives and community transformed and renewed by encountering God and responding to His love

Come and see what is going on in the Parish

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the website of the Parish of Warblington with Emsworth.

Latest information (6 January 2021)

As we enter a third National Lockdown, we are moving all our services on line and closing our churches to public worship, although St. Thomas a Becket Church will still be open for personal prayer on Sundays 12.30pm – 3.30pm and Wednesdays from 10am – 3.30pm.

We can still worship together online
We remain wholeheartedly committed to worshipping God in every circumstance. During this period we will have two on line worship services each Sunday that you can access;

1. A recorded service which can be accessed by clicking here and also via the St. James Facebook page in the normal way.

2. A live Sunday Zoom service at 10am for which we will send out a link in the Parish emails. Contact us on or 07579 798010 if you wish to join this. This allows us to have a greater sense of ‘being together’ as we worship.

What are we doing to offer support to one another?

Although we can’t meet together, human contact is very important to us all and we want to do everything we can to make sure people do not feel isolated.

We shall continue with regular emails keeping one another informed and in touch. We can also gladly contact people by phone if requested.

Prayer Tree

We are committed to praying for any in need. If you would like prayers for any matter, you can call our Prayer Tree on 01243 430022 in confidence.

The Parish consists of two churches – St. James’ Church in the heart of Emsworth and St. Thomas à Becket Church in quiet and beautiful surroundings at the end of Church Lane Warblington (see Our Parish for maps and directions).

More importantly, we are a community of people who, inspired by God, seek to serve our local community and express the love that God has for all people. We aim to be a community that is welcoming, loving and faithful to God, which is all the more important in our current circumstances. Please get in contact via the Parish Office if you or any neighbour that you know needs help.

We have also created a Digital Library that has services from previous weeks, messages from the Diocese of Portsmouth and some other resources that you might find helpful at this time.

Up to date advice from the Church of England is available here.

With prayers

Andrew (Rector)

The parish relies on the generosity of our community, we would be grateful for any amount you can give.
