Our churches

St Thomas à Becket, Warblington

This ancient church has been welcoming worshippers, pilgrims and visitors for nearly a thousand years.  Located in the heart of Warblington Conservation Area St Thomas à Becket is a beautiful building in a rural setting which offers parishoners and visitors a more traditional style of worship.  The Book of Common Prayer continues to be used much as it has been since the 1660s and Evensong is also an important part of the church’s worship programme.

The church is a popular choice for weddings, baptisms, and funerals and is normally open to the public when not being used for services.  Many visit the church to light a candle and spend time in quiet reflection while others visit to discover more about the history of the building.  Everyone is welcome.

St James, Emsworth

St James’ is the parish church for Emsworth.  Located in the heart of this charming coastal town, it offers a range of services to cater for all ages. Everyone is welcome at the main 10:00am service each Sunday. There is a small creche area at the back for young children as well as activity bags to keep little ones entertained.

Twice a month there is also an alternative Breakfast Church service in the church hall, also at 10:00am for those who prefer a more informal style of worship. This is especially popular with families but many older people enjoy it too. Why not try both?
