St Thomas a Becket Church, Warblington is currently closed as part of a refurbishment project.
St James Church, Emsworth is open and current Covid-19 guidelines permit funerals (see the link below for full guidance).
The first step is to contact your chosen funeral director. They will provide advice and organise the practical arrangements and will then liaise with us to put your wishes into effect.
Both of our churchyards are closed to new burials, but Warblington Cemetery is immediately adjacent to St Thomas à Becket Church.
The death of someone close can affect you in several ways (emotionally, physically, socially) and presents one of the greatest challenges. Support for the bereaved is offered by our clergy and also by trained visitors who have a special understanding of handling grief.
Christians believe that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ gives them hope and cause for thanksgiving in the face of death. In this faith we entrust those who have died to the infinite mercy and love of God. A Church of England funeral service acknowledges this hope and offers bereaved people the opportunity to remember their loved one’s life and offer them into God’s care.
Funeral Directors wishing to book either Church for a funeral, please contact the Parish Office.
